Oregon trail lawd that was my favorite game, many moons ago. I miss those simple days. Whenever I am at a place that has coke in a glass bottle I absolutely grab one.
Loved this, Laura! My dad is from coastal NC and I love a vinegar-y bbq! And shrimp burgers--not sure if that's an Eastern NC thing, though. Also, I can’t believe I left “I Love Lucy” off my own list. And 100% relate to “a desperate need to make something, anything, and document that yes, I was here”
Oh yes, I love a good shrimp burger… especially from the hole in the wall type places down at the beach! I showed my youngest some I Love Lucy clips when I was working on this, and I was thrilled that he loved them too!
Yes! Did I find the scripts for Kirsten’s American Girl play at the thrift store yesterday for $1 and buy them for pure nostalgia because I have no need for them? Also yes!
Okay this is such a fun prompt and I love all these insights to your code. Plus not me immediately singing Tim McGraw and wanting a sweet tea. And you’re not alone in checking out way too many library books at once haha.
I can tolerate it 🤣 I clearly remember the first time I had non-Eastern NC bbq as a kid and (despite having been warned it was not the same), being SO disappointed. Vinegar-based forever!

Getting to play Oregon Trail in the elementary school computer lab was always such an exciting day!!
the best!!
I love this, Laura. And I really miss TGIF (sigh)
Thanks, Rebecca! I miss TGIF too!
Love this, Laura!! It makes me want to expound upon mine sometime!
Thanks, Elizabeth!
Love this! I smiled at the Coke in glass bottles because that’s something my husband and I talked about liking in one of our earliest conversations. 🥰
Love that! There’s something so special about those glass bottles—and coke tastes better when it’s in them!!
💯

Hi! I think we’ve connected before about living in Raleigh. I remember that Krispy Kreme well!
Hi Julie! Yes, we have! Love that Krispy Kreme — especially when the hot light is on!!

Thanks, Jessica! The library book problem is real… I currently have 30 checked out!! 🤦♀️
30 for you? or for you and your kids? !!!
Just me 🤦♀️ there are cookbooks, watercolor books, other stuff like that mixed in… and I had a lot of holds all come in at once (of course!)
How did you like the TN BBQ compared to the NC BBQ?
I can tolerate it 🤣 I clearly remember the first time I had non-Eastern NC bbq as a kid and (despite having been warned it was not the same), being SO disappointed. Vinegar-based forever!
This is just perfect. I love it. I love you. I'm with you on vinegar-based barbecue being the best!
Thanks 💕 Love you too! And vinegar-based barbecue forever!
I love that you went back to your childhood days and included in your source code. Brings back a lot of my childhood memories as well!
The American Girl universe!! Yes and amen.
