Bread & Wine is such a great book! I tend to forget books easily, but this is one I remember well and even though I read it years ago, still implement her hosting tips and make some of the recipes regularly! I had Rules of Civility on my bookshelf for YEARS but I must have given it away because I can’t find it anymore, I probably didn’t want it tainting me anymore 🤣
I haven't read Bread and Wine either, but I love many of her other books. Searching for Sunday is another I want to read too. I can't wait to hear what you think of it! Also, I am following you and Laura's lead and making a list of my own- this was a great read and even better inspiration!
Ahhh Laura, I have 4 books on my nightstand (3 of which I own), and the 3 more on the kitchen counter from the library… and those of course need to be read more quickly, but, like you said, it really does depend on the headspace I am in when I have time to read! Lol
I think I have read everything Shauna Neiquist has written *except* Bread & Wine. Excited to hear what you think!! I’ve also been wanting to move over to Storygraph.
So far, I'm really liking Storygraph, but I haven't totally let go of Goodreads yet - I like seeing what other people are reading on Goodreads, and I know more people using Goodreads... I need more people to make the switch!
Bread & Wine is one of my favorite books of all time. I make her risotto recipe once a month in the winter!
Oh yay, I’m excited to read it!! I’ll have to try her risotto recipe!!
Too cool that your great-grandmother wrote a book!! I love that we're doing this. The Sloane Crosley cover is hilarious!
So fun to do this together!

Now I’m extra excited for Bread & Wine!
I loooove Bread & Wine! And how cool that your great-grandmother was an author?! Would also love to hear what you think about Searching for Sunday!
Will report back on Searching for Sunday! I’m excited to finally read Bread & Wine—everyone loves it!
All the heart eyes for Bread and Wine and the middle place. ❤️❤️❤️ I have read them more than once!
I’m excited to mark both off my list this year!
I love this! I've been trying to be more intentional to pull books off my shelf to read in the season.
It’s so easy to just collect them and not read them!
This is a great idea! You’ve inspired me to do the same.
Yay! I want to hear how it goes!
Great list and great idea!! I love everything by Rachel held Evans but especially searching for Sunday! Let me know what you think!
I’ll report back! I’m excited to finally read it!
Love this challenge! You've got some great books in your TBR pile!
Thanks, Stacy! Excited to move them from the TBR to the read pile this year!

I love Bread & Wine and Rules of Civility! I love this challenge and can’t wait to hear how it goes. I’m hoping to read 10 books that I own this year.

I feel your pain! So many good books out there waiting to be read!
I’ve read and loved 4 of them! Shauna’s lentil soup and goat cheese biscuits are the perfect winter meal!!
Ooh, I'm going to have to try those! Thanks for the tip!
